Longtrain Productions began humbly in a small apartment in Athens, Ohio. The fledgling production company trades a local graphic arts student a pitcher of beer for a logo, prints business cards and waits for the phone to ring.
One year and 200 miles later, the now Cleveland-based Longtrain Productions begins to work with a few agencies, car dealers and our first of many radio stations.
LTP begins its migration south – albeit slowly. Akron, Ohio serves as worldwide headquarters and we see the addition of more agencies and several car dealers. Our hard-sell spots scream “SALE!” throughout the Midwest and Northeast.
We begin a successful partnership with the PGA’s NEC World Series of Golf, providing commercial production and on-site information for participants and fans. Owner Andrew Safnauer gets to play at the media shoot out at Firestone Country Club – he’s out on hole one. Lesson learned…networking opportunities work best when you have more than 5 minutes of face time.
Warmer climes and the fast-growing area of Upstate South Carolina is the next stop for Longtrain. Our Yankee clients do not forsake us for carpetbaggers and remain in the fold. Greenville’s proximity to both Charlotte and Atlanta generates significant opportunities.
In 1999, the LTP offices and studios made the 2 hour move down I-85 to Atlanta. New clients and agencies discover the benefits of working with a shop like Longtrain Productions. Not afraid of tight deadlines and long hours, our 6 years here proves fruitful with clients like Kraft Foods, the Baranco Automotive Group, The High Museum of Art, Northside Hospital and many others.
Explosive growth opportunities have led us back to the Carolinas in 2005. Charlotte, North Carolina is a beautiful city with a fantastic climate, friendly people, a lot less traffic than Atlanta and a large untapped market for good writing and production. Now servicing clients across the country, our success can be attributed to the strength of the relationship we have with every client. We like to be part of the creative process.
